Join us for our Monthly Board Meeting at the Clinton Community Hall on Monday March 31st at 6:00PM.
Marnie Jackson, Executive Director of Whidbey Environmental Action Network (WEAN), will present on environmental issues and advocacy opportunities affecting Clinton. WEAN provides environmental and civic education, policy advocacy, and strategic litigation to protect ecosystems and the communities that depend on them. The organization has protected forests, prairies, beaches, and other sites in and beyond Island County since the mid 1980s, and Marnie joined the team two years ago to lead the transition from founders-era organization to staffed organization. She’ll share about this transition, provide an update on wetland, forest, and shoreline issues in Clinton, and share results from a county-wide environmental issues survey.
