DESCRIPTION:South Whidbey Prepares is a relatively new volunteer organization that is dedicated to helping individuals and neighborhoods prepare to be self-sufficient in the event of a significant disaster. We provide educational and hands-on training to participants and interface with other disaster response organizations such as Fire\, Red Cross\, Island County Department of Emergency Management and others.  This presentation will introduce SWP and discuss its goals and current activities.\n\nPresenters Rich Flanders and Ken Wolfe both retired on Whidbey following careers in various engineering disciplines and both reside in Clinton.  They have been involved with emergency-preparedness issues on the Island for many years and have been associated with South Whidbey Prepares since its inception in 2025.\n\nZoom Link:\nhttps://zoom.us/j/98590072372?pwd=SCx6DxlYYKwjtShFhH09im3tc9Arhf.1
