The Island County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00 am to receive testimony on the Island County Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulations. This hearing is being held as part of the legislative action to complete the 2025 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update. Following the public testimony, the Board will deliberate and may adopt the comprehensive plan. The Board will consider an amendment suggested by the Planning Commission to the final documents before adoption.
Testimony can be given in person at the BOCC Hearing Room in Coupeville or via Zoom. Please visit the Agenda Center the week prior to the meeting to find the Zoom link and physical address (located in the meeting agenda). If additional public hearing dates are needed, the Board may continue the public hearing to a date certain.
Located on Camano Island? Space will be available for the public to give testimony via Zoom at the Camano Annex Building. When you arrive at the Camano Annex, please go to the Planning Counter and let them know that you are there for the Board of County Commissioners meeting.
Comments may be submitted via email to CommentBOCC@islandcountywa.gov prior to the meeting; however, please note that emailed comments will not be read aloud during the public hearing.
